Milling
Horizontal and vertical mills range from 1 to 30 hp with spindle speeds
from 1 RPM to 20,000 RPM. Computer Numerical Control equipment
is utilized based on part geometry, accuracy requirement, number of
parts and cost of set-up. USI's 3, 4, and 5-AXIS machines give
our customers a competitive edge. The result of these capabilities
is state of the art production efficiency.
Testing
Hydraulic testing up to 10,000 psi is performed utilizing calibrated
gauges. USI has a complete range of test and checkout equipment.
Assembly
Based on the needs of our customers, we offer assembly in the following
areas:
Mechanical
Hydraulic
In-house painting and marking are performed per customer specifications.
Inspection
Quality and attention to detail are provided with the use
of a high accuracy 5-AXIS coordinate measuring machine with
robotic control. Hard-copy printouts record the resulting
measurement.
In addition, our optical comparators provide both direct measurement
and measurement using surface illumination. In-process
inspection is performed by either a roving inspector, operator,
or both, depending on customer requirements.
Our inspection is in accordance with standard procedures and
calibration records are on file. We are certified to
ISO 9001:2008 with AS 9100:2009 Rev. C by Eagle
Registrations, Inc. In addition we employ Statistical
Process Control (SPC), as required. If an inspection
plan is not specified, we will use 1.0 AQL, as described in
MIL-STD-105.
